Best Beaches in the Philippines

The Philippines are sought after for their beaches. Most come here with the beaches in mind and enjoy them, but they also discover that there is more to the Philippines than just their beaches. If you are looking for the best beaches here’s our favorites:

Boracay – the favorite place for the beach lovers out there in the Philippines. Boracay has earned a place in the beach lover’s heart with its cool waters, fine white sand and is THE place for those looking to party. By far it is one of the finest beaches in the world. Boracay is located in Panay (in the North West part of the Visayas)

Camiguin – is loved for it gives the impression of a paradise and is one of the more striking places in the Philippines. Some consider Camiguin the “Garden of Eden” of the country. With its waterfalls, and hot and cold springs it is easy to understand why people would believe this. Camiguin is compelling and once visited will always call you back to its lush bounty.

Dakak – is a 750 meters long private beach along the Sulu Sea. This beach has white sands that are so fine it is powder. Dakak has its own share of waterfalls and its pool’s water comes from spring water, making for a relaxing getaway from the beach.

El Nido – has been known in the past as the country’s last frontier and Palawan (the Island of the Gods). Its beaches are a great place to let go of the stress of urban life. For those with peace and quiet in mind and want the full relaxing atmosphere of the Philippines El Nido is for you. Not only does El Nido offer its soothing beach, but there are striking seascapes, tropical birds, and soaring marble cliffs to visit.

Honda Bay – these islands surround the capital of the South Western province of Palawan. From these islands one can dive, swim and island hop in the cool waters. Out on one of the islands you only need to walk out about knee to waist deep to see the variety of fish that call Honda Bay home.

Mactan Island – is a beautiful beach in the city of Cebu (called the queen city of the South). The island is a tropical island resort that calls to visitors like a siren. It is a constant source of entertainment, with night life activities that will add spice to any visit.

Pagudpud – Looking for Hawaii, but don’t want the crowd of the real thing? Then Pagudpud is the place for you. With its strong winds and waves, it compares perfectly to Hawaii and has become popular with surfers. Not looking for a surfer’s paradise? That’s ok, Pagudpud offers long white sand beaches that are great for just swimming. When compared to Boracay, Pagudpud is more out-of-the-way.

Panglao – For the perfect diving experience go to Panglao. This tiny island is hidden near the bigger island of Bohol and boasts coral reefs to keep you exploring to your heart’s content.

Pearl Farm – is found in the City of Davao and has become known as the premier beach resort. Even though it no longer has the pearls that it was named after, the experience you take away with you is as valuable as a pearl. The resort shines as beautiful as a pearl in the white sands and hosts entertainments that will keep you happy up to the last minutes of your visit.

Siargao – is another surfer’s paradise. Here the waves can curl up to 12 feet high and will keep the surfer busy from start to finish. Along with the waves, there are beaches that remain untainted by urban lifestyle for those seeking a bit of unspoiled nature.
