What to do in Batangas

Located in the southwestern of Luzon in the Philippines Batangas has 31 municipalities and three cities. Its closest neighbors are the provinces of Mindoro, Quezon, Cavite, and Laguna. Since most of the towns are surrounded with water the beaches, marine life, and flora makes Batangas famous. Tagalog is the dialect of the local residents (Batangueños), which is the main language most Filipinos use. Visitors should have no fear, English is well understood and spoken by most of the natives.

Due to Batangas only being 2 to 3 hours drive from Manila it is a favorite getaway destination for both them and tourists. There are a variety of activities that are at a visitor’s fingertips once they travel to the eye-catching beaches. Play golf, dive at famous underwater sites, wake boarding, jet skiing and wind surfing are just a few of the activities that away you. For the more daring there are caves to explore along the shores.

The rich historical background of the province gives for countless sights to see. Architecture can date from Pre-Spanish times to modern. Old Spanish houses and basilicas are sights that lure visitors to the towns of Taal, Mabini, Lipa City and Batangas City.
