What to do in Baguio City
The City of Pines or more commonly referred to as The Summer Capital of the Philippines, Baguio City is a wonderful mountain getaway high in the Cordillera Mountain Ranges. Baguio City is known for its temperate climate, a drastic contrast from other areas in the Philippines. Humidity is on a comfortable range and is generally an average 8 degrees C cooler compared to its surrounding areas. Its residents enjoy a comfortable living with its temperature rarely going over 26 degrees C.
With Baguio’s cool temperate climate snug up high in the Cordillera Mountain Range, is one of the things that makes this city one of a kind. Bathing suits, shorts, t-shirts and singlets are best worn with the heat and humidity on the coast, but in Baguio warmer clothing is required.
During the day warmer clothing is not needed, but will be needed at night. Light jackets or wraps are great for keeping the chill in the air from cooling the fun. Don’t forget your umbrella when you go, Baguio is known for its fair share of rain. Being a jewel nestled in the in mountains Baguio tends to be breezy all year round, so don’t forget a windbreaker or light jacket.
